Elder Rahkel Rashel Henry-Brown is a native of Atlantic City, New Jersey. She is the oldest of
five children born to Deirdre I. Henry and the late Richard A. Jones. She attended the Atlantic
City Public School System and answered the call to ministry at an early age.
At the age of
fifteen, Rahkel preached her first sermon, entitled "The Name of Jesus," at her home church,
Glorious United Pentecostal Church, under the leadership of Pastor Robert F. Hargrove II.
From
that moment forward, it became evident that God had placed a unique calling upon her life.
In her twenties, Rahkel relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, where she renewed her commitment to
church and ministry. She became a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church under the leadership of
Bishop Dennis A. Meredith.
It was there that her passion for worship, service, and spiritual
leadership was reignited, further affirming God's purpose for her life.
A few years later, Rahkel
helped establish The Vision Church of Atlanta alongside founders Pastors Oliver Clyde Allen
and Will Horn.
During her time there, she was ordained as an Elder in the Lord's Church and
continued developing her gifts in preaching, teaching, pastoral care, and community outreach.
Pastor Rahkel later became a member of Rehoboth Fellowship of Atlanta under the leadership of the
late Bishop Troy Sanders. The ministry serves as part of the Fellowship of Affirming Ministries,
founded by Bishop Dr. Yvette Flunder.
Throughout her ministry journey, Rahkel has been a
sought-after speaker, panelist, and advocate, sharing messages of faith, hope, healing, and
inclusion in churches, conferences, and community gatherings across the country.
In 2018, Rahkel officiated her first wedding ceremony, marking another significant milestone in
her ministry.
She has also participated in numerous community initiatives designed to uplift,
support, and empower underserved populations through faith-based and community-centered
programming.
Professionally, Rahkel has served in leadership roles within nonprofit and
community organizations, helping coordinate programs focused on healing, wellness, and
community engagement. Her work reflects her lifelong commitment to serving people both
inside and outside the walls of the church.
Pastor Rahkel firmly believes that "when purpose is not known, abuse is inevitable"
Guided by this
principle, she continues to dedicate herself to the work God has placed in her hands.
Pastor Rahkel is
recognized as an anointed prayer warrior, mentor, advocate, and spiritual leader who has helped
countless individuals and families navigate life's challenges.
Her ministry is marked by
compassion, authenticity, and a steadfast commitment to helping others discover their God-given
