Rev. Minister Malik K. Brown

 THE H    ME CHURCH ATLANTA

Malik K. Brown serves as the Rev. Minister  of

THE H    ME CHURCH ATLANTA, where he stands alongside his wife, Pastor Rahkel R. Henry-Brown, helping to cultivate a ministry rooted in radical inclusion, justice, compassion, and the transformative love of Christ.

A licensed and ordained minister through the Fellowship of Affirming Ministries, Malik's faith journey has been marked by divine connections, spiritual mentorship, and an unwavering commitment to serving God's people.

His love for Christ has always been a defining part of his life, but his spiritual foundation deepened significantly during his time as a member of The Power Center under the leadership of Pastor Will Horn. There, he developed a greater understanding of ministry, discipleship, and the importance of building authentic relationships with God.

Following the closing of The Power Center, Malik remained steadfast in his commitment to Christ, visiting and worshiping with various faith communities while seeking a spiritual home. That journey ultimately led him to Rehoboth Fellowship of Atlanta under the leadership of the late Bishop Troy Sanders.

Interestingly, Malik's introduction to Rehoboth came through an invitation from his then-friend, Pastor Rahkel Henry-Brown. What began as a simple invitation would become a life-changing spiritual connection.

Under Bishop Troy’s leadership, Malik was nurtured, mentored, and embraced as family. Their bond grew so profoundly that Bishop Troy ultimately recognized Malik as his only Spiritual Son and Godson, creating a relationship that would shape his ministry and leadership for years to come.

Professionally, Malik brings more than two decades of distinguished service in public safety, criminal justice, security management, and government leadership. Throughout his career, he has served as a Deputy Sheriff Lieutenant, Executive Protector to the 49th Sheriff of DeKalb, tactical team commander, corporate security executive, and currently serves within DeKalb County Government. His extensive experience has afforded him the opportunity to lead diverse teams, manage critical incidents, and advocate for fair and equitable treatment of all people.

Malik holds an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice, a Bachelor of Arts in Homeland Security, and a Master of Arts in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Legal Studies. His academic achievements and professional experience have strengthened his passion for justice, public service, equal rights, and community empowerment.

As the Rev Minister of THE H   ME CHURCH ATLANTA, Malik is particularly passionate about bridging faith and social justice.

He believes the Gospel calls believers not only to personal transformation but also to the work of dismantling barriers that exclude, marginalize, and oppress. His advocacy extends to creating spaces where all people—regardless of race, gender identity, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, or life experience—can encounter God's love without fear, shame, or rejection.

Malik's ministry is grounded in the belief that inclusion is not merely a social value but a spiritual mandate. He is committed to helping build a church that reflects the expansive heart of God, where every person is seen, valued, and welcomed to the table.

Through his leadership, ministry, advocacy, and public service, Malik continues to champion a vision of faith that embraces justice, equality, compassion, and belonging for all.

"Justice without compassion becomes punishment. Compassion without justice becomes complacency. True ministry requires both."
